Lemon Tekking Shrooms Dramatically Increases Trip Intensity

Do you need to add lemon juice to the choke cherry juice when canning it, for increased ph balance? I have been reading articles stating that by boiling orange or lemon peels is an effective natural repellent to carpenter bees. I am skeptical but willing to try it, however I am concerned that it might cause.
